A Legacy of Community and Care Since 1962
For over six decades, the Troy Senior Citizens Center has been a cherished gathering place for older adults in Troy and Miami County. Established on June 7, 1962, the center was founded with a simple yet profound mission: to provide a welcoming space where seniors could connect, engage, and enrich their lives.
The Early Years
The idea for the Troy Senior Citizens Center emerged from a community-driven effort to support the well-being of older adults. Local leaders, organizations, and volunteers came together to establish a dedicated facility where seniors could participate in social activities, educational programs, and wellness initiatives. From its modest beginnings, the center quickly became a vital part of the Troy community, offering a sense of belonging and purpose to countless individuals.
